Enthuse Group Acquires Brand Assets from DC Thomson

1 Apr 2023

Seven weeks after DC Thomson announced it was closing the Essex-based Aceville magazines, all the print, digital and event brands have been acquired by the Enthuse Group. The specialist publisher expects to continue publishing at least 12 print and online brands and expects to be able to save around 30 jobs from the previously announced redundancy programme.

Owen Davies, the owner of Enthuse said: ”We have been working night and day together with DC Thomson to try and find a way of saving at least some of the Aceville business. What I can assure those people who do come to work for Enthuse is that we are a lively, innovative business that knows how to make the best of their talents and experience.”

A new company has been set up and named Artichoke Media Ltd. It plays a central role in publishing within the education, food, franchising, and health and beauty sectors. Its longstanding titles include the market leading Teach Primary, Speciality Food, and What Franchise magazines. These are accompanied by a suite of prestigious awards under brands such as Natural Health, Heath & Wellbeing and Great British Food Awards.
